tyrone s woods memorial park
On December 5, 2018, the Oregon City Council voted to name the newest park the "Tyrone S. Woods Memorial Park."

"Oregon City named its newest park after a local hero who was killed while working for the Central Intelligence Agency in Benghazi six years ago. The City of Oregon City's Park and Recreation Advisory Committee will recommend the new 9.1-acre park be named Tyrone S. Woods Memorial Park. The new park is located in the Caufield Neighborhood." (See KATU article here.)

Koin 6 video and article can be viewed here.

Great progress has been made, and the community is eagerly awaiting completion when the park can be enjoyed by residents, visitors, and, of course, all the doggies that will be able to run in the dog park area.
